Apothecary

IMPORTANT! This game can be played solo but is best as co-op. Effective communication, ideally in a voice call, makes the game more fun!

You and your friends are entrusted with the ancient Apothecary - a place where many creatures depend on your alchemical ability. Which one of you will behold the ancient tome, interpreting the writings and communicating to your fellow apothecaries? Listen to the customer's request, gather the necessary components, add them to the cauldron, and finally chant the special words. Coordination is everything, so prepare to test your teamwork under pressure.

HOW TO PLAY

The game works offline or online - play via LAN or Steam with your friends. Just download the demo below.

Controls:

• Movement: WASD
• Interact: Left Click
• Grab/Drop: Right Click
• Chants: Enter
• Special Chants:
  • "vacuus fio" - Clears the cauldron.
  • "ingredium revoco" - Removes the last ingredient.

• At the end of each day, unlock new potion recipes and either:
  • Fresh ingredients and gathering stations.
  • A hex to increase difficulty:
    • Rotated recipe icons: Future recipes are displayed with ingredient icons rotated
    • Order hex: Ingredients must be added in a precise sequence, dictated by the runes around the cauldron.
    • Extra ingredient: Future recipes have an extra ingredient
      

• Your journey starts with the following methods of gathering:
  • Terrarium: Collect spores to grow mushrooms.
  • Garden: Plant and water seeds to harvest crops.
  • Dead Logs: Stick your head in to collect creepy bugs.
  • Scavenger: Visits periodically to offer gruesome items
  
  
• Explore the underground caves for faster travel.
